Nutrition Program Achievements During the Year 2020

Based on the urgent humanitarian needs of some families affected by the war and the increasing number of families in need,  poor, and displaced, these accumulations of events that produced the expansion of the prevalence of malnutrition among the children of those families in Sana’a governorate of Hamadan District, the region of Ablas,  Sanid Organization for  Relief and Development implemented the distribution of baskets project Food for affected and poor families whose  children are suffering from severe and moderate malnutrition as a food program for 6 months starting from January 2020 which will continue until June 2020
The project targeted (83) targeted families monthly for a period of 6 months, funded by the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Corporation.

Nutrition Program Achievements During the Year 2017

Malnutrition  :
First: the emergency response project in the child’s field, the second stage (reducing malnutrition) in Bani Hashish districts – his climate – Saafan / Sana’a governorate

To complete the implementation of the second phase of the project, which started its first phase at the end of the year 2017, Sanid organization for relief and development, funded by Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT)  in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Population in the districts of Manakh and Bani Hashish in Sana’a Governorate, distributed food baskets to families whose children suffer from malnutrition in addition to nutritional supplements for children suffering from malnutrition standard of the Ministry of Health. The project targeted 100 children with nutritional supplements (nutrients + vitamins + plasma) 

after the examination process according to accurate health procedures through a group of doctors and health workers working in this field, and 100 food baskets were distributed to the families of children with the number of 100 families (the number of beneficiaries) (000 individuals. Also distributed Nutritional supplements for malnourished children in the Saafan district through a health center affiliated with the Ministry of Health, after making accurate permits for the infected children in the Saafan area.

Implementation of the Nutritional Program Activities at the level of the Health Unit and the community:

Both responsible HWs and CHVs provided all CMAM services for children 6-59 months with SAM at the health unit and at the community and family level, such as nutrition screening, admission to TSFP and OTP, vitamin A supplementation, FE/FO supplementation for pregnant and breastfeeding women, Deworming and zinc supplementation for diarrheal cases, hygiene promotion and other key primary health services.
