Health Center in Al Errah, Hamdan district Conducted by Sanid

Report on the Field Visit to Al Errah Health Center

Sanid Organization for Relief and Development conducted, on Thursday, 14 March 2019, a visit to the Health Centre in Al Errah, Hamdan district to review registers and records of the patients which highlight that more than 170 children are suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM)who are treated from malnutrition since the Inauguration of the malnutrition project being implemented by SORD and supported by the ACT, the Indonesian.
Many SAM cases continuously followed up by SORD have shown
remarkable project. Sanid also made field visits to beneficiaries of to the project in order and distributed questionnaires to them which will be reviewed and assessed for the purposes of determining the humanitarian needs that will be studied and mobilized accordingly.
Sanid Organization has also made continuous follow-up for the cholera cases reported to the Health Centre which reached 25 confirmed cases, 2 of which were acute diarrhea that have properly addressed while the other cholera cases were referred to the relevant hospital in Dharwan sub-district.
The above cholera cases represent a critical indicator of the epidemic status.
In conclusion, the beneficiaries and the residents of district has expressed their appreciation and gratitude for both NGOs, ACT and Sanid for their relentless efforts to provide the necessary support within the available resources. The people of the district also appeal to Global Peace Mission, other donors and all the CSO in Yemen to provide the necessary assistance for conducting emergency lifesaving interventions and relief services so that the vulnerable affected people can be relieved.
