Sanid Organization and Tele-Yemen implemented an Urgent Relief Campaign for more than 460 Families of Forced Displacement Victims in Tihama
In a humanitarian and national action, Sanid Organization for Relief and Development and in coordination with the Foundation of “the Partners for Construction and Development and support of Yemen Telecom Company implemented an emergency relief campaign for a number of displaced people in the districts of Tihama. According to the project's management, ``the emergency relief campaign comes within the`` Emergency Relief Project ``adopted by Sanid Organization based on its humanitarian, social and national responsibility towards the Yemeni society. The campaign targeted more than 460 displaced families from the most affected families in informal camps in the remote areas, who are away from official attention. For his part, AbdulRahman al-Khulani, director of Sanid Organization for Relief and Development said that many affected families are still in urgent need of emergency relief, especially foodstuffs, some of which are in the market due to price hikes or monopolies. He added that many of the poorest families are suffering from severe poverty and destitution without the basics of life and that their need for food and medicine increased under conditions of forced displacement due to conflicts and wars. He called on behalf of the organization (Sanid) everyone who is able to support and on the local and foreign organizations to give attention to the relief, especially in light of the circumstances which make forced displacement as a result of its natural consequences to alleviate the impact of the crisis on the poorest.
