500 displaced families benefiting from the emergency relief project funded by MTN Sand - Special Funded by MTN, the Sand Relief and Development Team in Hodeidah governorate carried out an emergency relief project, benefiting 500 displaced families in the Zaidia Directorate. The emergency relief project targeted families displaced by the armed conflict. The aid was a basket of 50 kg flour, 10 kg of rice, 10 kg of sugar and 4 liters of oil to help ease the living burden of the displaced. The Executive Director of the Sand said that there are hundreds of displaced families in the barrage of land and the earth and the sky in harsh living conditions and the urgent need for basic needs, including water, food and medicine. He also expressed gratitude to MTN for its generous support for the emergency relief project and its hope that the improved businessmen and businesses in Yemen, as well as the humanitarian, charity and relief agencies locally and regionally, especially the brothers in the Gulf countries, will cooperate with Sand and other relief organizations to alleviate the situation. The deteriorating life imposed by the war on the Yemeni people, the burden of which is borne by the poor, especially the victims of forced displacement.
